They have also become a major attraction on the cruise liners working for Cunard on the QE2 and for Sun Cruises the UK's biggest package holiday cruise company.

show for 12years.


BBC Scotland produced a most successful documentary on their life which was shown spring 2004. They also appeared in the BBC2 documentary series "The Entertainers"


Their Autobiography is now out, written by one of Scotland's main feature writers.


The duo have just completed the summer season wowing the crowds at Blackpool in Rocking with Laughter. Alongside old mates Stu Francis and Bucks Fizz, the show at the North Pier Theatre ran for sixteen weeks and saw Janette make her return to performing following the acciedent last Chrirstmas during panto, from which we thought she would never recover.

It all started for The Krankies after winning 1978 Club Act of the Year, they were spotted by the late Lord Delfont who immediately signed them to appear at the London Palladium in the 1979 Royal Variety Show. That launched them on a bill topping career that's still going strong. By Royal Command, The Krankies were the stars of the first Children's Royal Variety Show. Seven further Royal performances followed in front of the Queen Mother, Prince Phillip, Princess Royal, Pricess Margaret and the Prince and Princess of Wales.

International caberet has seen Ian & Janette complete Eight highly successful Australian tours., directing and starring in their own show. This combind with UK caberet seasons for Butlins, Haven and Top Rank.


Pantomime seasons have also been important to Ian & Janette playing every major theatre in the UK, from Glasgow to Oxford and Newcastle to Bournemouth. They have been acclaimed by the profession as 'Masters of the art of Pantomime' appealing to audiences of all ages.
